Our overhead distribution crews are experienced on energized distribution voltages up to 34 kV.

OUR Electrical Construction SERVICES

Our transmission division offers all electrical transmission services from new builds, upgrades and line rebuilds with the capability to perform hot stick methods up to 230kV. We self-perform our own fiber/OPGW installation, splicing and testing and along with our affiliate companies, we offer aviation services to provide a single solution for our customers.

Our distribution division works closely with our clients to build, improve and maintain a wide range of distribution networks, both overhead and underground, spanning all voltages. Our capabilities include, but are not limited to, pole replacements, lead cable splicing and repair, energized work, primary and secondary conductor transfers, switching, replacement of transformers and the installation and transfer of underground primary and secondary conductors.

5 Star Electric maintains an industry-wide reputation as the single source solution for comprehensive substation construction and maintenance needs including estimating and support, material ordering, tracking and expediting, foundation construction, steel erection, bus work installation, and power and control cable installation.

5 Star offers new construction as well as maintenance of existing street lighting for all types of systems.

Our crews have experience with various types of street lighting projects which generally include trenching/boring to accommodate installation of new conduit, cable, poles and lights. We understand that aesthetics are a high priority to our customers and 5 Star’s street lighting crews are well versed in decorative street light installation. We also have the ability to assist customers with lighting audits and LED energy-efficiency upgrades.

The C&I Division of 5 Star Electric provides commercial installations across a wide variety of businesses and public buildings including schools, restaurants and fuel stations.

We also have significant experience with heavy industrial applications such as aluminum mills, mining facilities and automotive facilities.
The C&I Division also performs fiber installation, splicing and testing.

Our skilled distribution and transmission crews have a deep history of providing clients with safe, high-quality performance, even under the most adverse weather conditions typically experienced during storm response. With our large service area, we have assets located throughout the U.S. and 5 Star Electric is able to mobilize our manpower, equipment and support vehicles rapidly across a wide geography.
